Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of LexFeed. LexFeed is an early-stage project run by a solo developer, and this is a draft policy written in plain language. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use LexFeed.
What LexFeed is
LexFeed is an aggregator and index. It collects publicly available headlines, snippets, and event listings from local news and community sources, groups related coverage, and links you to the original publishers. LexFeed does not republish full articles and is not the author or publisher of the underlying reporting.
No warranty; content is provided "as is"
LexFeed is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind. Because the site aggregates third-party content, we do not guarantee that any item is accurate, complete, current, or free of error. Publication times, categories, and clustering are produced automatically and may be wrong. Always confirm important information with the original source.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site to break the law or infringe anyone's rights.
- Scrape, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure.
- Misrepresent LexFeed content, remove attribution, or pass aggregated material off as your own.
Intellectual property
Headlines, article text, images, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. LexFeed claims no ownership of aggregated third-party content. The LexFeed name, layout, and original code are the project's own, but nothing here grants you rights in anyone else's content.
Third-party links
LexFeed links out to external sites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, or practices of those sites. Following a link is at your own discretion and subject to the destination site's own terms.
Demo content (historical)
Early in development, some items on the site were clearly labeled demo or placeholder content while real sources were being reviewed and connected. LexFeed no longer seeds placeholder content; if a demo item is ever shown, it is clearly labeled as such, is not real news, and should not be relied on for any purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LexFeed and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from any aggregated or linked content. Your sole remedy if you are unhappy with LexFeed is to stop using it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the project evolves. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
