LEMG Hunter Pace & 5K
This fun-for-all event is an opportunity to ride or run over the hallowed ground of the Kentucky Horse Park, all to benefit a great cause – the Kentucky Horse Council! All funds raised from the event will be earmarked specifically to assist with KHC efforts in Eastern Kentucky. On Saturday, Sept. 5, at 8 a.m., race participants will run a 5K trail course with the opportunity to navigate the same obstacles as the horses on the hunter pace course; On both Saturday and Sunday, hunter pace teams will ride out over the Park between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day; competition takes place in three divisions – jumping, non-jumping and pleasure. A variety of prizes are up for grabs for both riders and runners! Runners, riders and their cheerleaders will be able to purchase food from local food trucks; beverages from local breweries will also be for sale.
